Description of Céline Schärer
I grew up in Steinhausen (ZG) in an active family. In my youth, my brother and sister were my role models. They did a lot of different sports, like ice hockey, athletics, swimming and of course, as the youngest child, I wanted to join them. I always felt the best in the water, so when I was 6 I signed up with the local swimming team, and also joining the athletics and gymnastics team.
When my sister and brother started for the first time in a Kids triathlon, I knew that I had to try it too. At the age of eight, I was finally old enough to attend the Ironkids in Zurich for the first time. Since then triathlon has become a part of my life.
After winning several Youth, Juniors, U23  and Elite Swiss Championships titles in triathlon and duathlon, I became always more ambitious and determined.
At the beginning of 2011 I got the chance to become a professional athlete.  The timing was perfect for it, as I just graduated from my Commercial Diploma and knew that I had to take this chance. This was when my journey with Brett Sutton started.
Training with Brett made me realize what it really takes to become a great athlete. I was very motivated and also celebrated good results in European/World Champs on short distance but I missed out on a breakthrough result over the Olympic distance.
Two years later Brett wanted me to compete in a full Ironman, as crazy as this distance sounds at that time I trusted Brett and just tried it. Finishing with a 2nd place at the IM Zurich in 2013, on my first ever Ironman, was definitely my breakthrough race and I realized  I could actually become good in this distance. So since 2015 I focus only on long course triathlon, after a 70.3 win and Podiums in Half Ironman and IM races, I went on to win the IM Switzerland in 2017 and qualified for Kona, it was a dream come true.

Why do you work with Trisutto?
I've worked alongside Brett Sutton for many years, both as an athlete and now as a coach. I know first hand what it takes to gain the most from yourself and from training. I'm passionate about seeing athletes improve and at the same time enjoying the sport, this is why I run the Home of Triathlon Kids program in St Mortiz over summer.
In addition to coaching kids I am also available for on deck coaching in St Mortiz and online coaching.

I am doing Triathlon since ages and had a lot of coaches. But never was a Coaching this compatible like this from Celine Schärer.
As a full time worker I need a lot of flexibility and spontaneity in my trainings. She did this great!
With her plans I improved my Ironman PB by 30 minutes.
She understands definitively to combine training and work! I am really looking forward to our next season...
