TRISUTTO / PRorER athletes were in action again this past weekend with great results.
Katy Roberts headed to Connecticut for the Ironman 70.3 Connecticut event on Sunday. Katy finished 23rd in her age group after posting the 3rd fastest swim. She continues her build as she prepares for Ironman Cork (Ireland) in three weeks.
John Bye also competed in the Ironman 70.3 Connecticut race. He finished 6th in his age group after posting the fastest bike split. Not bad after having completed Ironman Santa Rosa only three weeks prior, where he earned a Kona slot with his 3rd place finish.
Julia Norcia kept the streak alive as she won the Master's Female division for the second week in a row, while also finishing 2nd Female Overall at the Middle Tyger Triathlon in South Carolina. Julia continues to lead the South Carolina Triathlon Series Master's Female Division in points.
And finally, George Gurrola completed one of the toughest Ironman 70.3 races on the circuit, Ironman 70.3 Hawaii. The race includes the actual portion of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship bike corse where atheltes climb to Hawi and must face the strong crosswinds so famous to the course. This is in addition to the swim in the choppy waters of the Pacific, and a brutal off road run course that includes portions that are sheilded from the cooling effects of the wind coming off the ocean. Nobody ever accused George of picking easy races :).
Stay tuned for more results in the coming weeks as the season is now in full swing.
