Last weekend we had a massive participation at the 70.3 IronMan Rapperswil, one of the main events in the Swiss calendar. The club was represented in the race by Lilian Spöring, Ariella Kaeslin, Paul Bolla, Tanja Leuthold, Bettina Marturet Fendt and the Loolaba guy (a man who bought our uniform at the stand :-D). Last but not least, David Heinzel served as a referee on the bike course, making sure that nobody was drafting or littering. Great job guys!!! You made us proud.
Loolaba is more than a club and on both Saturday and Sunday our stand was the protagonist of the Expo and after the race we received a visit from Tom and Brett Sutton, the coach of the current world champion and winner of the female race in Rapperswil, Daniela Ryf. She finished with the 7th place overall, beating some of the Pro Men athletes!
A special thanks to our partner Compex and all the members who helped out with the stand: John Descourouez, Adrian Rusnac, Míša Kupkova and Reynald L'huillier. You are the reason why our club is so special! You are the best in the world!!!
The club was also represented in the Frauenlauf Bern by Ladina Peng and in the first two stages of the Tour the Swiss by Claudia Sutter: she was 1st in her age group in both stages!
This coming Sunday many of our athletes are registered for the Triathlon in Zug and the training plan will be focused on preparing them for the race. The weekly social ride will be replaced by a Saturday easy swim in the lake. Please check our whatsapp group to find out place and time. The other appointments will stay the same but the training plan will be adapted for those racing in Zug.
