Last weekend our athletes teamed up in Zug in one of the best olympic triathlons of Switzerland. The club was represented by Alex Ciherean, Adrian Rusnac, David Heinzel, Chad Sultzer, Samuele Fenu, Octavian Negrea, Frederic Jouault, Kathy Mendel, Jonas Fischle, Markus Koch, Andreas Jutzet, Brian Lang and hopefully we are not forgetting anybody. Our coach Christian raced as well in the short distance. Ladina Peng was on the course cheering for our athletes, thanks for supporting!
Before the start of the race everybody was suprised to hear that it was going to be a no-wetsuit swim. It's the first time in many years that the wetsuit is not allowed in the race in Zug. The flat bike course allowed great performances (it was also only 38 km long). The run course was also a fast one and many of our athletes improved their personal best or finished their first olympic triathlon fully satisfied. Big congrats to everybody, especially to David, Adrian, Markus and Kathy for their debut.
But Loolaba is not only about triathlon. Our athletes were rocking our uniform in the Alpen Challenge Lenzerheide on Sunday. The club was represented by Tom O'Loughlin, Hampus Thorson and Blake Matthews. Good job guys!!!
The first half of this week we will focus our training on recovering from the efforts of the weekend. In the second part of the week, we will start to get ready for the next race: this Saturday, Spiezathlon! You can choose between sprint and olympic distance or duathlon, team relay or individual race. Be there!
