Description of Perry Agass
I was very much a late starter into the world of triathlon and coming from the world of being a 100m and 200m sprinter in athletics it was a big change. At first I struggled with the endurance, but with patience and dedication I went on to finish multiple Sprint, Olympic, 70.3 and Ironman races before I was forced to take a break after a road bike accident in 2011. From there I channelled all my efforts into becoming the best coach I could possibly be using the knowledge that I had acquired studying sport science and continue to learn to this day. I’ve had various coaching roles from an Assistant to Head Performance Coach of my own squad of athletes where I've had great success - helping athletes to qualify for all major international competition events in a variety of formats and coaching athletes to both European and World titles. I found that I have a deep passion for helping people achieve their goals and that with hard work, dedication and setting realistic goals anything is possible. I accepted an elite coaching role with Trisutto.com to assist with the ongoing progression 4 years ago now, to work with our professional and age group athletes. Under the guidance of Brett Sutton and the Trisutto.com team it’s been great to be part of such a passionate knowledgeable like-minded family. Perry grew up in the London, UK and is married to Ceri with two children - Jessica and Hollie. They reside in Essex.
Why do you work with Trisutto?
I’ve had a very diverse sporting background with experiences that set me apart from many other coaches. During my early years I competed in football and boxing, before moving onto athletics. I spent 10 years training alongside former Commonwealth Champion and Olympian decathlete, Dean Macey, and Olympian Chiel Warners. My time around multi-event athletes has influenced my mental and physical approach towards triathlon coaching today. An approach that shares many synergies with the Trisutto.com coaching methodology I have experienced working directly with Brett Sutton over the last 4 season's.
