Also last weekend some of my athletes were racing.
Most of all I want to highlight the performance of Nora Koss. She already won the Spreewald olympic distance Triathlon and could back up that result with a superior win at the Neuruppin Triathlon this weekend. In the end she was not even 3min out of the overall top 10 and won the race with a 15min margin. She had the 3rd fastest swim (males included) a very good bikeride under very windy conditions and finished the race with a 43min 10km Trail run. A finishing time of 2hrs18min was very close to the course record for that specific race. I am very excited to see her development over the rest of the season and over the coming years. Nora is in her early 20´s and has a lot of potential.
Andre Möller was racing an olympic distance as well. It was the Schleswig Holstein championships and he could show a very good performance. The swim was not what we had expected, but Andre did not lose more than 2,5min on the lead nevertheless. We are still working on the transition of his pool swim fitness to the open water. The bike went very well and he could average 39,2km/hr. Due to a very steady pacing he had very good legs for the run as well and finished the race in 11th place overall after a 41min 10km run. Andre´s main goal of the season is the Ostseeman triathlon at the beginning of August. So we head into the final preparation now.
