Last weekend Nora Koss took the overall victory in the Spreewald triathlon olympic distance race (1,5-42-10). She had a great swim exiting the water in 5th position overall. Her bike split was even more impressive as it was not only the fastest bike split this year but a new female bike course record! Nora ran 45min off the bike and took the overall victory with a 3min lead. We will continue to work on the run to make her overall performance even better! Next race is the Neuruppin OD already this weekend!
Felix Peter raced the Challenge Heilbronn as his first 70.3 of the season last weekend. He had a great start exiting the water with the 8th fastest swim split of all age group athletes. It was fast enough to be first out of the water in the 35-39 age group. Felix struggled a bit on the very hilly and unrhythmic bike course. But nevertheless his average power got close to his personal best on that distance. The ride was followed by a very good 1:27hrs run for the 20,2km run course and he finished the race in 38th position overall and 8th in his age group after 4hrs42min.
Jan Erik Wilhelmsen did his first race of the season. His season opener was an Olympic distance race in Norway. He had an ok swim but struggled a bit with the orientation and the choppy conditions. But after a fast transition he had a great bikeride with some new personal bests. It was his first race with a powermeter and it helped him a lot with a steady pacing. Jan Erik averaged 257W NP and 34km/hr which is a huge improvement compared to last season. Also the run went very well and he could finish the race with a 42min run for the 9,2km. His finishing time was 2hrs26min on a very technical and hilly course. Well done Jan Erik!
