Weekend Action

July 11

Animis Racing Team atheltes were once again out at the races this past weekend.

Val Taylor took part in the annual Winterton Show 10 mile race; This was the first time Val has run more than eight and a half miles. The race set off from showground, ran up through Winterton, across to Roxby down to Appleby and back up through Roxby into Winterton. This challenged Val, however she felt a real a sense of achievement to have done in less than two hours. Well done Val.

Sally Uren and Tracy Vickers ran the Caister Sting in the Tail 10k; The Caister 10k has a reputation locally for being a challenging, and certainly not fast, 10k event, locally. The race has a hill at the end which presents tired legs with a difficult end. But Sally and Tracy battled on and were pleased with their results. Well done ladies.

Ruth Kent rode the Ross Tiger Sportive; Ruth has spent some time out with broken ribs and so was pleased to finally get back in the saddle in this great local event.
