With the clocks going forward and the sun threatening to warm England up, Animis athletes have been out racing and enjoying their sport.
We have now had the first two rounds of our GoTri Spring Series, in March and April, with an extra large turnout from our own athletes but also from the wider community. Thank you! We are looking forward to seeing you and your friends on May 5th for the next installment.
Val Taylor has been busy athlete in the last few weeks. Val started the season with Gainsborough 10k. Val worked hard to dip under the hour for the first time. Val then followed this up and did her first ever duathlon at the GoTri in Hull before then taking part in our April GoTri. Val is now more than prepared for her first ever triathlon at the weekend.
Tracey Vickers also did her first ever 10k at Gainsborough. She has only started running in May and swimming in November and is really happy to have completed her first event. She is now working towards her first triathlon in the near future. Go Tracey!
Angela Thompson had an enjoyable 10k also at Gainsborough - giving her the happy running that she needed.
Adeline Brack has also got her season up and running at Gainsborough 10k and our Aquathlon series. Adeline is looking forward to her race this weekend but not the early start!
Fran Marritt took part in her first ever Marathon in Brighton on Sunday. Fran was looking forward to this event as she had wanted to complete a marathon right when she started her fitness journey. Fran loved the event and has already signed up for another in Edinburgh in May.
Nick Kane was also in marathon training over the weekend. Nick had done great at Athens in November but wanted to dip under the 4 hour mark in Paris. After diligent work, Nick crusied home in 3:52. Nick now prepares for his double header in London before getting ready for New York in the Autumn.
