The last few weeks have seen several debuts for Animis Racing Team athletes.
Coached athlete Ali Brown made his first bow in middle distance racing at the Cotswold 113 event. Ali has been training hard and getting his consistency nailed and so was excited to see how his first foray into middle distance would go. Ali pushed himself and worked hard, listening to his body and finished in 4:54 - not a bad debut at all, with more to come. Well done Ali!
Sam Cassell, Wendy Daffern and Angela Thompson took on their first ever open water triathlon by taking part in the GoTri event at the recent Leeds WTS event. All three ladies thoroughly enjoyed their first time and cant wait to get back to it - especially Sam who has her transition time to improve having stopped for a photo and chat with BBC presenter Louise Minchin! We are really proud of you ladies.
Dave Edwards and Ali Cropper also took part in the Standard Distance event at Leeds and really enjoyed racing the distance. Unfortunately, Dave's bike was stolen from the car after the event, so if anyone has any information, please pass it on to us.
Val Taylor made her open water debut at the recent Hatfield Triathlon. Val was super happy with her bike and run and has identified sighting to work on for the swim but she loved it and cant wait until the next time.
