Join Coaches, Rafal Medak and Alicja Medak for specific swim, ride and run coaching in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. During the camp you will also receive advice during workouts on your swim, bike and run technique, with opportunities to ask questions throughout.

The camp will provide a perfect opportunity to learn about the Trisutto training methodology and technique. Our winter camps are uniquely placed for athletes who are thinking how to improve and take their performance to next level in a new season regardless of athlete experience in triathlon. The timing allows for considering new season goals and objectives.
The camp is suitable for all levels of athlete.
During the camp you will get individual advice on swim, bike and run techniques, while applying the training methods to improve your performance. No two camps are the same but a typical camp will include training across all three disciplines.
Aspects that are covered during the camp are:
  • Training philosophy – learn principles of periodisation, the training mix, psychology + physiology, athlete development and the use of races within these considerations.
  • Swim training – techniques for the individual athlete, use of swim tools, stroke correction.
  • Bike training – positioning, technique for the individual athlete, bicycle and component selection, skills, tools.
  • Run training – technique for the individual athlete, shoe choice, use of run tools (hills, track, treadmill, road).
  • Triathlon – integration of swim, bike and run into the one training approach.
  • Stretching – massage, warm up and warm downs.
  • Injuries – prevention, treatment, athlete mentality and training around or through them.
  • Race execution – strategy for the individual athlete and season goals.
An average day at the camp will go as follows:
  • 7.45am - meet at the pool. Most days will start with a swim session
  • Following the swim, we will run or ride, or do both

Sometimes there may be three workouts in one day. eg 7.45am  swim, 11am run, 3.30pm bike. Other days is may be two sessions eg. 7am swim, followed by a long ride or run.  Each morning it is decided what sessions will be held. This takes into account factors such as fatigue, upcoming races, and the weather.

All workouts are based around individual needs, the camp venue, and sometimes weather. All visiting athletes will receive advise on swim technique, run technique and bike position from the coaches, during workouts. There will be a discussion about running technique before/after the workout, and athletes will receive advise during the workout on their own technique.

The aim of the week is not to see how much training can be completed, but to provide athletes with useful and practical advise, to take away and use in their own training at home after camp.
